All the details, none of the fluff
This lovely guesthouse is perfectly located near Mt. Kirkjufell, providing stunning views and a clean, comfortable environment. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering, and the friendly staff made check-in a breeze. Ideal for short stays, we had no trouble accessing shared facilities and felt right at home here.

I stayed for 1 night in a single room with a shared bathroom. The location is fine, with Kirkjufell visible from my window. The kitchen was well-equipped, perfect for cooking. The staff was super responsive and even helped me find a mechanic for a flat tire. ☀️

The location is peaceful with stunning ocean and mountain views. The owner was welcoming, and there were thoughtful touches like free milk and kitchen supplies. It’s a bit remote from the town, but that adds to its charm. A great spot for nature lovers!

Couple Recommended Getaway
Had a great time the hosts were awesome and super friendly,, made us feel at home right away. I especially loved that they filled the kitchen with all kinds of goodies like bread, cheese and even cookies, so we never felt hungry despite no formal breakfast option.
Although it wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, it still felt worth it overall.

The spacious kitchen was an absolute bonus for preparing meals, and the three twin beds in our room provided plenty of space for two. The location in a quiet neighborhood added to the charm.
A few kitchen items could use an upgrade, like the small frying pan and some seating at the dining table that felt a bit worn.

Staying at Grund I Grundarfirthi Economy Guesthouse was a great experience for my work trip. The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for preparing meals. The warm and inviting atmosphere made for a comfortable stay, and the views of Kirkjufell were truly spectacular. It was a bonus to have such a clean and cozy environment to return to after a long day's work.
WiFi wasn’t the strongest, which may be an issue for business work.

The view from the room was a standout, offering a direct look at Mt. Kirkjufell, creating a breathtaking backdrop throughout the stay. The kitchen was impressively spacious and well-equipped, making it a great asset for preparing meals, especially since dining options nearby were limited early in the day. However, the pillows left much to be desired, leading us to rely on our travel neck pillows for comfort. While the staff was friendly and provided useful local tips, the location was about 3km from the main town, making a car essential for convenience.
